Quietly tucking unrelated laws into bills just to get unpopular stuff passed through is why people hate DC politicians.

Gaddafi tried this, along with a handful of others. They get invaded by the US and sodomised with pointy things.
It’s the same reason they shut down online poker in the United States, they couldn’t track the money... or so they say. Bush in ‘06 passed the ‘Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.’ And then in 2011 poker experienced a “Black Friday” when the feds shut down the ability for Americans to play online poker in USA. All also under the guise of “The Patriot Act.”
