This is actually quite a few years old. Maybe 5-6 years. I don’t remember. The doctors who the doctors who did this were looking for ways to save premature babies. They even specifically say there is no way to start an embryo artificially. Now, I don’t know what’s changed since then. From what I understand, the lamb did infact make it to birth. I’ll see if I can find the info again.
it did make me think this could be useful for colonization of other star systems. basically arks that go out to planets and seed them with life. The first generation you'd have to grow in pods or something.

That would be pretty cool. Who would raise them though? 🤔 it’s a really neat concept though.
Ah yes that is where the AI and robots come in to raise the first generation. This was the premise of some sci-fi movie but forgot which one.
