you are pretty correct. I'm a wildland firefighter, 1/2 our force has come out and said they will walk off if they push this, and we are already below critical on staffing, everyone is working 6n1's or 14's and doing tons of overtime on top of it. if they go through with this, watch the west coast burn down, after they refused to clean up fire fuels and dumped all the water, and cut law enforcement back so far there is zero way to stop arson.
they are burying a dept of interior report that over 40% of wildfires are started by illegal immigrants as a distraction for border patrol.
we already have a ton of contractors refusing to take assignments. the ones that are left and eager to work can't hire anyone and more and more of their staff are no call no showing.
yeah public sector unions can't strike, but nothing is stopping almost everyone from individually quitting.
people are already used to quitting, getting job offers the next day for increased pay and greater flexibility.
They know the real numbers are close to 60% unvaxxed, and if they push the mandatory they will loose 1/2 their work force in a single day.
They know what's coming, they know there is no replacement for that talent, they know they can't function without us.
They'll still try, and they'll get burned like never before.
End of the year is going to be interesting.
