I think that is what is going to happen to people who are soaked in modern culture. Our culture is not at all dissimilar from paganism, except we have different words for the same ideas. We still worship the workmanship of our own hands, but we call it "Science!"
There are many Christian converts who can tell you what it is like. I am a lifetime Christian so I cannot appreciate it, but those who were something else and then became Christians have very interesting stories to tell.
