Our honored dead from any war could pose the same question:
I died at Valley Forge, and for what ...
I recently read the book below.
NARRATIVE OF THE LIFE OF DAVID CROCKETT, OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. every word written by Davy Crockett himself in 1834.
At one point he visited up north, and of his visit to Bunker Hill he wrote:
“I felt like calling them up,” and asking them to tell me how to help best to protect the liberty they bought for us with their blood; but as I could not do so, I resolved on that holy ground to go for my country, always and everywhere.”
I wounder what he would think of this current generation.
He’d probably say you can all go to hell and I’ll go to Texas
So, exactly what all those Afghanistan “refugees” are saying right now?
Lol shit
He went to Texas to fight and die. Those fighting age men ran away from what Crockett ran towards.
I particularly like reading the book that was written by Crockett himself, in his own language and words. Read the preface, and what he thought of his critics.
