My local CVS is saying they are unable to fill my prescription because the state of Missouri has purchased 1 million doses and is creating a shortage. Does anyone know if this is true or have a way to find out?
UPDATE: My wife spoke to a different pharmacist today. They had enough for her prescription but not mine. The pharmacist from yesterday was lying. No idea what gives them the power to overrule a doctor but here we are
Why did everyone forget hydroxychloroquine so quickly?
I certainly didn't forget! It's just Ivermectin does have less potential side effects. Not that HCQ is dangerous or anything.
When I got sick I was given HCQ and Zinc. Fully recovered but I did have some weird symptoms that were probably side effects of HCQ, since they went away after I stopped taking it. Just my small, supportive anecdote.
What were the side effects?
It’s been a few months, but iirc I had a bunch of red splotches on my skin, and an “anxious” feeling in my chest.
Both of those roughly match the side effects listed by the Mayo Clinic (if they’re not a trusted source I apologize)
I was taking HCQ in tiny doses since Trump first brought it to light, then switched to Ivermectin when FrontLine started with it. I've been exposed to Covid a few times closely and haven't caught it yet.
I’ve take plaquenil for a fairly extended period of time in the past for psoriatic arthritis and can attest that for me there were zero side effects. Didn’t even notice I was taking it. It’s a good drug.
