The neuro description in the comments sounds like paramyxovirus which afaik affects most birds. I've seen it around my house in pigeons (not many other birds to observe). It is a febrile disease, so worse for the birds in the summer, they overheat. Like the flu, it can be quickly fatal, hardly noticed, have this lingering discoordination and seizure-like complication which may go away. Yes, humans can sometimes be affected.
