Today, Sept 2nd, a Northern NSW company made a delivery to Brisbane in their Semi. The M1 is open for freight & special exemptions, some essential workers etc only. No blockade. I witnessed a staff member ring their driver to ask if there were any closures, no trucks blocking anything on the M1 between the border & Brisbane.
Google maps shows the north bound lane closed for about 7km, its not really lying, anyone not hauling freight or with a special exemption regardless of jab status cant enter QLD.
No idea whats happening elsewhere at this stage.
I’ve read a few different posts saying the truckies had their demands met, they don’t have to have the vaccination to keep driving internationally apparently. I was surprised I heard NOTHING about the 31st one in the media or on social media at all. It’s like after that dude in Brisbane got a bit of news in the morning on the 30th, Pauline Hanson got him to move along and everywhere went quiet about the 31st which was supposed to be the big day.
Something weird about how it has played out, my suspicion is they don’t want people knowing the demands were met because it could cause others to try similar tactics
There may be a legit media blackout & I have no doubt theres heaps of shit happening, however Truckies blockading the M1 at the NSW/QLD border is NOT happening.
The company this guy works for (& I have known him since he was a kid) regularly delivers semitrailer loads of stuff to Brisbane. When I asked him about the M1 being blocked he looked at me stupid & said "Fred" did a delivery today, I then asked if he had to detour via the Gold Coast Highway or elsewhere, he said "I think I would have heard about that!". I showed him the map that clearly shows the M1 as being closed north bound, he then looked at me in dismay & rang "Fred" who said there is no such thing happening for freight deliveries.
Telegram is not blocked in Australia. they could do media blackout, but if things were happening, social media would have tons of vids.

My understanding is it's still either the jab or a negative test within 3 or 7 days of crossing the border according to the same guy that made the phone call. He was unsure of the number of days, doesn't affect him as he drives different areas within NSW, all locally ish.
If my theory is correct this would make sense they would make a deal with the truck drivers in exchange for a none disclosure agreement.
You can do an 'NDA' with the leaders of an organization, but you can't do an NDA with individual members (that is - the actual truck drivers themselves).

use it as an excuse for further measures

I like the idea of protesting tyranny, but I don't see how preventing middle/low income peeps from having groceries is the best way to do so. All I know is that there is no blockade today at Reedy Creek or anywhere else on the M1 between northern NSW, as far south as Mullumbimby through to Brisbane, yesterdays hold up was very short lived, a genuine breakdown? who knows.

Here you go fren. This is the best I got. Click the red road closure button on the right. Many police incidents with full road closures all along the border of Queensland and New South Wales. Either these are the truckies parked up, or the cops are boxing you in.
I agree it appears the M1 has not been affected the same way.
They are all the hard border closures, "they" put bollards across the roads to prevent anyone entering QLD. This time they probably have the army there as well, but I really don't know, & no Im not driving up there to have a look.
The 1st time they did this was a while ago & parents were literally passing their kids over the barricades so they could catch the bus or get taken to school by neighbours living on the other side. I doubt this is happening this time as the rules are even more draconian.
All those red dots are police road blocks & or hard barricades. Its like the Berlin Wall. Im in a little town just south of the border, several people came to work here in NSW from QLD one morning a couple of weeks ago & got stranded with the clothes on their backs. No kidding. A neighbour has put one of them up in her granny flat, goodness knows what happened to the others.

Um, no thats from Aug 30, those 2 dudes were a day early, it was officially supposed to begin Aug 31, now Sept 2 & the M1 is clear from the border to Brisbane under the same restrictions originally put in place.

Well my Fren what do you suggest? The M1 is closed to most, even the jabbed, the closure we saw on google maps has now been removed. Would you like the name & phone number of the company Im refering to? Nope, not willing to dox them either. If you dont believe me might I suggest having a look at some businesses just on the south side of the QLD border who might send stuff to QLD & ring them yourself, its the only way you will get the proof you are looking for. I could do that but you still wouldnt believe me. We have a substantial brewery, a wholesale processed chicken facility, substantial steel fabrication, garden furniture manufacturer with gov contracts, hell we even have the factory that spits out the majority of waffle cones for the essential ice cream outlets, & more, all supply QLD with product. Nope, they were going to park up until they got what they wanted. Someone here thinks the QLD gov did cave to their demands, but my info says no they didn't. Who knows really? I can only relay info from a few who are actually affected by this bullshit. The guy Im referring to in my post has had 1 jab so he can still work.
