Doctors in Texas can "prescribe" anything they want.
The pharmacies just refuse to fill the prescriptions... so what has it gained?
Why doesn't the Texas Medical Board and Pharmacy Board tell the pharmacies "If a Licensed Physician prescribes a medication, you WILL fill that prescription... or lose your pharmacy license in this state."?
I seem to remember a case going to the Supreme Court on the issue of pharmacist refusing to fill prescriptions for the morning after pill. I believe the Court let stand a lower court ruling that prescriptions for this birth control pill must be filled. Since the underling issue was abortion, this decision would likely have no bearing on refusing to fill prescriptions for life saving medication.

Not to mention Right to Try. Sheesh, how can pharmacy chains DENY prescriptions for "off label" use of meds??
Nice
Now do the insurance companies.
