I had slept in late that day and my parents woke me up and told me a plane hit a building. At the time, I had never even heard of the WTC and didn't know they were big buildings in the center of NYC.. so I just kinda rolled over and dismissed it.
Woke up glued to the TV like everyone else after I realized the scale of what had happened. I remember I had to run to the gas station to pick something up, and I will never forget how eerily quiet it was. The shock and mourning was so thick in the air.. nobody was making a sound.
