So much of the Church has fallen into the trap of believing that we need just pray and God will take care of it all for us .. That we are to TRUST HIS PLAN !! Pray we must, and Faith that allows us to be able to trust it is imperative in the process.. But the Book I read tells me that FAITH WITHOUT ACTION IS DEAD !!!
Let us not fall into the same trap Frens !! Yes.. I believe the white hats have a plan in place.. Yes I trust it !! But OUR ACTION is absolutely NECESSARY in this BATTLE !! KEEP FIGHTING AND NEVER GIVE IN !!!!!

I would say most of the churches in America are there. However, if you’re talking about Christians united through Jesus, I’d say we’re standing by and standing firm, ready for whatever the Lord puts on our hearts.
Does God not act through Man as well? He did send his son in the form of man Did God prepare and write the Constitution? No he inspired Man to fight for freedom and ensure its existence, and he charged man to defend it.
I wish I could agree with the comments. I've been going to 3 different catholic churches and they are all very vocal that they got the jab and 'Mary is the only one who hasnt so WE have to make special arrangements for her". Churches were closed but they had jab clinics there. People were dying and priests wouldnt administer last rites or even hear confessions. I was in the hospital 6 times and not once did any priest visit.
Yet I do agree with the poster. Many years ago it clicked in me while reading scriptures and since I've been putting essentials together because people will need things. I have faith in HIM, trust HIM, love HIM and my 'neighbors'. I'm all set to help anyone I can.
Huh. I thought God was sovereign over a virus.
"Jesus take the wheel" does not mean take your hands off the steering wheel, close your eyes, and floor it!
No flack from me, bro. Stand our ground stand up for our rights. Or as it says, fight the gopd fight of faith, and having done all to stand, stand therefore....
Agreed
Make humanity great again. Do something.
Positive feedback from me, Oldpatriot!
WE HAVE WORK TO DO (in prayer and in action).
Actually today's sermon at Mass was from James 2:14-2 Faith alone without deeds is useless.
As for action...... I prefer the charitable kind.
Charity is awesome and we need to be so in all things.. In Luke 22 Jesus tells his disciples “ if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one” . how could owning a sword be charitable?? Maybe if you use it to defend those that can’t defend themselves.. like maybe THE CHILDREN !?!?” Love your neighbor as yourself ?” We wouldn’t allow anyone to do these atrocities to OUR children!! Where does our neighborhood stop ?? Is standing strong and defending our neighbors against these horrible atrocities not love??
Everyone's calling is different. It is not for you to decide if their calling to God's purpose is right. You follow your calling. Not everyone has to carry the sword.
Don't forget, Jesus was kind, not nice. When people did wrong, he didn't sugar coat it. When he was angry, he struck with righteous fury. He said himself:
Matthew 10
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
But not action without first listening to Holy Spirit! Lots of examples in the Bible of people who just flew into action without seeking Adonai first! Those are not the outcomes we want.
"I pray that you give me the strength to get from behind this key board and actually do something"
Action! Action! Action! As Steve Bannon says.
Isn’t that “faith without charity is dead”?
My Bible says faith without works.. graciously giving to someone is definitely a wonderful and admirable work.. so is defending someone against intentional harm !!
Maybe I’m thinking of a different verse, which verse are you referring to?
James 2:17-18. James 2:26
Thanks, yes I had 1 Cor 13:2 in mind. Very similar, though.
Believe me friend. We are all sitting by and eating our popcorn..... but we are also ready. If the moment comes.. then all of us collectively will sigh, Finish our beer, get up and have this finished by dinnertime... across the world. We are at that point, and we are all ready.
