That is fascinating, all of a sudden Mel Gibsonโ€™s Catholicism makes sense. As does the lukewarm reception by the bishops when he was trying to get them interested in Passion of the Christ. Thanks for the suggestion!

If someone, for a reasonable motive, holds the person of the pope in suspicion and refuses his presence and even his jurisdiction, he does not commit the delict of schism, nor any other whatsoever, provided that he be ready to accept the pope were he not held in suspicion. It goes without saying that one has the right to avoid what is harmful and to ward off dangers. In fact, it may happen that the pope could govern tyrannically, and that is all the easier as he is the more powerful and does not fear any punishment from anyone on earth.

I just want carholics to point to where in the bible it says that a pope should exist and a human that is not Jesus speaks for God

Because the Pope claims to be Gods voice on earth or whatever

Me thinks God wouldnt be retarded enough to think that such a position would be good for a human to inhabit, since you know power corrupts and pope is basically king of christendom

3
SFAM1A 3 points ago +5 / -2

That part where Jesus says to Peter "You are the rock upon which I will build my Church"

4
MetalThatMatters 4 points ago +4 / -0

Taken out of context, I suppose one could cram that meaning into what Jesus said. But he was speaking of the rock solid foundation of the Gospel to build His church on. Not on Peter. Get real.

It's stuff like this that the priests didn't want their congregations to know.

0
TheAwakened 0 points ago +2 / -2

Is Peter pope?

And that line doesnt mean: there will be one human being in charge of the whole thing

And jesus was more you -> god

Not

Apostolic succession. Even the Protestants believe in Apostolic succession. It's only the recent Judeo-Freemasonic Christian sects that reject it.

3

Yeah what people believe in and what Jesus actuallly wanted might not be the same bruh

You honestly think Jesus thought having 1 human with that much power was the way to go, after being nailed to a cross by a guy with too much power?

And it also never says anything about a pope, you guys just think thats what that sentence means because thats what HUMANS with authority in the church says it means

2
TheAwakened 2 points ago +4 / -2

Like, when I read that line I take it more to mean as Jesus telling him he trusts him to spread the word of the Lord or whatever after he is gone.

Not that one human being should be in charge of the whole religion without having any mechanism for normal people to vote him in (who even chooses the pope? Cardinals? Who chooses them?)

And ffs just the fact they take payment for penance should tell you enough ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Learn about the history of the Church. The pope was always the Bishop of Rome, an important city, to be sure. But when the Roman Empire moved to Byzantium and was renamed Constantinople, that city became the center of Christendom, because the Roman emperor lived there.

All Christians were part of the Church, which was entirely Orthodox until in 1054, the pope decided to break away and this is when the Roman Catholic Church began. This was 1000 years after Christianity began. So, Catholics, in the eyes of the Orthodox, are heretics, or schismatics. They did not maintain the worship services of the Divine Liturgy, and their communion is without grace.

Now go forward into the Reformation, which produced the chaos of 23,000 different sects, who all stressed that they had the real faith. They do not. It still resides where it has always been, in the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.

The laying-on of hands during ordination can be followed in a continuous line back to the Apostles. Thus, apostolic succession still remains, but does not in Catholicism. The one, holy, catholic ( meaning universal), apostolic (because of the lines of succession) church is the Orthodox church. It has never changed, and will never change.

The services date back to the 300-400's AD or perhaps later with certain texts, prayers, etc. The Liturgy of St. James is from the first century AD. The vestments are the same as in the 300AD period. The prayers we use every day are from the Church fathers, like Sts. Basil, Macarius, Gregory, and other greats. Spiritual reality does not change.

We have many miraculous aids, like icons that stream myrhh for years on end, a flow of beautiful oil from heaven. I just experienced the myrhh-streaming icon from Hawaii, which has been producing a stream of myrhh for over ten years. It flows down and is soaked up by cotton, which is distributed to the faithful for healing. Where does the myrhh come from? It materializes, so I believe God sends it from heaven. You can get something that came from heaven itself.

Orthodoxy has become rooted in different lands, like Russia, Greece, Serbia and many others. The services, then, are conducted in that language, following the missionary work of Cyril and Methodius, who first learned the Slavonic language, and then translated the service books into Slavonic (Old Church Slavonic, akin but different from Russian).

So, to find an Orthodox Church, seek one that speaks your language, when possible. I recommend it to all who are seeking real holiness and the truth. God bless you all. I spent part of my life as a Catholic, which I didn't like, and then as a Protestant, which was fine until the golden doors of Orthodoxy were opened to my mind. It's like a treasure house, filled with gold. It is deep, holy and REAL. It's the true faith, and it requires a lot from believers. Check it out and you will see.

Going to the Catholics to fix world problems is like drinking bleach to cure the flu.

They've been around for forever and a day, have more money than all the world governments put together, have seats of power and influence in every nation on earth and are their own sovereign nation.

There's no better organization in the entire world to shape the future of humanity... and yet here we are with a dictatorial tyrant in charge of many of the nations on earth. Meanwhile the current Jesuit Pope tells the last president that building walls is Satanic... while going to sleep every night behind a literal goddamned wall.

There's no more powerful organization on earth. Yet is the world becoming more Christian? Is the world a safer, better, more nurturing place than it was 20 years ago? Where is the Pope while Australia is literally becoming a gulag nation? Where is the pope when thousands of Christians are stranded in Afghanistan? Where is the Pope when it comes to standing up for personal liberty and bodily autonomy when the governments of the world are holding kids down and forcing shots of who knows what in their arms?

Seriously, fuck Catholicism. It's a festering cancer worshiping a corpse god perpetually nailed to a cross.

16
CigarTsar 16 points ago +16 / -0

I agree with you, but still hold out hope the catholic church can right itself. My dad went back to the church right before death and it gave him great relief.

I read a book about ten years ago called goodbye, good men by michael rose. I think that is the title. If not i will edit this post later.

Anyway, the church did a massive study during the height of the sex abuse scandal to figure out wtf was going on.

Their findings?

Most of the young men joining the seminary were homosexual. 80% vs 20%. The militant homo cabal were enticing young people to join the church.

It was a marxist movement where the commies infiltrated the gay movement and said hey you can find fresh meat over here.

At the time the jesuits were the most educated and respected order. They were the main target of the commies to have homos join.

Current pope is jesuit and i guarantee you is gay.

One day we will learn why bennedict stepped down and francis stepped up. Will be ugly for yhe church, but hopefully healthy for it and our future.

Final note. Mel gibsons next movie is resurrection. Christianity is the only faith with evidence of truth. Most people have no clue that jesus rose from the dead.

No other faith has a leader coming back to earth. People might say thats just propoganda, yet it was so powerful back in the day and people witnessed it, that this faith is still the largest in the world.

Im super stoked about this movie and it will be super controversial for sure.

Sorry for typos. Typed this while driving. No cars near me! I was safe.

13
Reassess_Reevaluate 13 points ago +14 / -1

Oh you misunderstand me. I'm a Christian. I just don't worship a corpse god nailed to a cross. I worship the living Son of God sitting at his right hand who was resurrected to everlasting life.

โ€œThe Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth. By divine right, the Pope has supreme and full power in faith and morals over each and every pastor and his flock. He is the true Vicar of Christ, the Head of the entire Church, the father and teacher of all Christians. He is the infallible ruler, the founder of dogmas, the author of and the judge of councils, the universal ruler of truth, the arbiter of the world, the supreme judge of heaven and earth, the judge of all, being judged by no one, God Himself on earth.โ€

If the pope is the "Vicar of Christ on earth", then either Christ is a failure or the Catholic church is an outright fraud. Do you think Christ would have been blind to the fact that 80% of his own Church's priests were gay... something he and his father God repeatedly call an abominable act? Do you think that the living Son of God, who fashioned a leather whip, beat the shit out of money changers and flipped over their tables, would just it idly by and allow a gay pope and gay clergy to run his church?

Is Jesus powerless or is maybe the Catholic church a fraudulent institution.

I submit the latter.

Man has always corrupted and bastardized Godโ€™s word for his own benefit, for his own aggrandizement. Mega churches. Inner city pastors walking around in $5,000 suits while their congregations live hand to mouth. It isnโ€™t unique to Catholicism, and itโ€™s all a damned shame. Jesus, come back.

1
numina18 1 point ago +2 / -1

The Pope is not the vicar of Christ on earth. There is no such thing. Some pope declared this of himself, and that is pride. He was fallen. There are hundreds of bishops in the Orthodox Church, and all are equal before God. There are patriarchs and Metropolitans, but they have no more access to God than any other cleric. We do need pastors to help us understand God and his Word, but we do not elevate others to the kind of place the Pope claims for himself. That's not Christianity. Anyone who struggles for holiness can access God, in many different ways. The most humble is the closest, not the one in a grand palace like the Vatican.

0

6

Wow Fren, you seem to have done your research. Where'd you learn all this? I knew pedophilia was rampant in the Church, but wasn't aware of the other insights as well as the implied infiltration.

7
CigarTsar 7 points ago +7 / -0

Hiyas. Just read that book a long time ago and it was powerful. One of those books you remember decades later.

One of the passages i remember clearly is the author interviewed a guy who was in the seminary and the guy wanted to become a priest and he was straight. Not a gay.

This young man said, every night the homosexuals in the seminary were partying late into the morning and having sex. It was loud and made it hard to sleep.

He said, i am being tested by god and must remain faithful and strong. Eventually, this young man could not endure it any longer and left the seminary.

A good man, gone.

I probably butchered this because its been 10 years since i read it, but you get the point.

Powerful stuff and so sad about the current state of the catholic church. My hope is the church does heal itself because i have fauth it can be a force for good in the world.

Not now, though under its current marxist leader.

Another good book to read is Infiltration by Dr. Taylor Marshall. It also details how the Marxists and even Freemasons have corrupted and slithered into the Church because they knew they couldn't destroy it from the outside, so they had to infiltrate to destroy it on the inside.

A good thing to remember: if the Catholic Church wasn't the Truth or the True Church, why would these evil satanists bother with it?

0
CigarTsar 0 points ago +1 / -1

I do believe the catholic church is the church. Going back to st peter. It is a sore subject with a lot of people, but it is the truth.

I love God and the faith.

So many bad actors though over time.

I currently go to a non denominational church and i am sure the pastor would love me to go somewhere else, haha.

I call out weakness everytime they preach it.

Other day he gave a sermon on mormons being false Christians.

I called him out on it and said, "when have mormons ever threatened us? Have you heard of the Muslims? They threaten us daily"

What is the reason for calling out a passive non agressive religion when we should be discussing the islamic faith which has viwed to kill us.

What do you mean, "... is like drinking bleach to cure the flu". I am drinking bleach to cure the flu, and it works too! Nah, just kidding, it's not really bleach, although it tastes like it - I am talking about Jim Humble's MMS - Miracle Mineral Solution. MMS is now my family's go-to medication for anything pathogen related, viral or bacterial and it works every single time - Corona included.

As far as Catholicism goes, I have a couple of thoughts to (humbly) offer: The Catholic Church as we know it today (represented by the Pope and Vatican - The Roman Catholic Church) has been infiltrated and hijacked after the Great Schism and is now unfortunately fully corrupted. By who? Well, the usual suspects: the masons, the jesuits, the khazarians, all descendants of the pharisees and worshippers of their master, Satan. During the early 1500s, the Protestant Reformation and the Church of England/Episcopal Church further branched off from the Roman Catholic Church to where today we have hundreds if not thousands of 'Christian' denominations. There is however one Church that has been continuing through the centuries in the same form, more or less, in which Jesus, through his Apostles, created it (differences being mostly linguistic): The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church - The Orthodox Church. Notice how the Orthodox Church calls itself CATHOLIC? That is the true meaning of Catholicism. Now, are there bad apples in the Orthodox Church? Yes, for sure. Is there corruption too? Of course, sometimes at the highest levels of the Clergy. But how do I know the Orthodox Church is sill the one true Church of Jesus? Because it continues to produce Saints. There are many examples of modern Orthodox Saints - one can duckduckgo 'modern orthodox saints' or 'mount athos' and there is tons of material if one desired to look deeper. Catholicism may once again find its true roots but only if the Great Awakening succeeds, the Cabal is defeated and the demons are banished forever to the depths of hell. I pray that is in our future.

1
FishinGuns 1 point ago +2 / -1

Do you believe in praying to saints?

3
skygeranium 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, I do. They are just as alive as you and I, even after they passed. Totally encourage you to read about the lives of Saints - there's plenty of material online. There are a few American Saints, most notably Saint Herman of Alaska, and Saint John Maximovitch of San Francisco. The relics of Saint John at the Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco are still working wonders - you can read testimonials from people. There is also one book written by a monk, whom, although not canonized by the Church, I believe to be a Saint: The Soul After Death, by Fr. Seraphim Rose. I can't recommend this book enough. Amazon sells it in electronic format. Among the Saints, the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God holds a special place. We should never forget to venerate her and pray to her.

-1
FishinGuns -1 points ago +1 / -2

RE: No. 1 of the Ten Commandments.

Great to learn about these wonderful people.

The only being to pray to is God. Why would anyone need to pray to anyone, but God!?!

3
skygeranium 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, you are correct, worship of adoration belongs only to God. However, we should show respect to those "who have fought the good fight and finished the race", and ask their intercession before God.

0
FishinGuns 0 points ago +1 / -1

Praying to them is 100% not the way to do that. Everything else is fine.

2
skygeranium 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, fren, your answer seems pretty categorical, so in all honesty, I did contemplate whether it makes sense to continue this thread or not. But perhaps this is a new perspective for you to consider or maybe it will help someone else reading it, so here it is: When you start on the path and began praying earnestly, fasting and taking Communion - you will be tried at every step. The demons are waiting and they will wage war against you. They will tempt you and deceive you in every way possible, including giving you false visions of God and Christ. They will put thoughts in your head, thoughts that will scare you and disgust you. They will try you on every single trait of your character, and you will need all the help you can get. Many good souls have been lost on this path, with many succumbing towards the end to the most insidious sin of all - Pride. The Saints, although regular people like you and I once, are titans, because they were able to overcome. But they had the help of Jesus, Virgin Mary and all the other Saints and so any Christian applying himself/herself earnestly to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles should ask for their help. They will help, all you have to do is ask. The book I pointed above talks about this at great length. BTW, Fr. Seraphim Rose's relics are buried at Platina, CA.

2
numina18 2 points ago +2 / -0

They are alive and can contact humans, although this is pretty rare. Icons are like windows to the saints. We pray to them for help and assistance, and they give it to us. They are in heaven. There is no death, only repose, or a kind of sleep. No one is extinguished, as in Buddhism. The soul lives forever.

Thank you for your concern, I do appreciate it. But I encourage you to do a little research about MMS, from essentially any other source besides the government's FDA, which, like pretty much all the three letter government agencies today, is corrupted beyond repair. Thousands of people attest to the effectiveness of MMS, myself and my family included. Check this community out: https://mmsforum.io/goto/index I have been using it for close to a year now. I did a detox course for about a month first, and since then I and my family are taking it every time we feel we are coming down with something. I am 100% sure myself and my family had Covid and MMS cured with two doses.

Sunday christians.. I canโ€™t go to church anymore because I seethe at the sight of people on their phones during a sermon. I canโ€™t stand hearing about peoplesโ€™ less than savory exploits and them โ€œpraiseโ€ on a Sunday like singing a hymn washes away the shit theyโ€™ve covered themselves in. Itโ€™a pathetic.

Man Without a Face was always one of my favorites growing up. Got me to pick up Shakespeare. Thank you Mel.

Catholics have been fighting a war with the Judeo-Masonic beast for centuries now.

Based Mel and Vigano as always, but boy, y'all on here have some serious Catholic hatred and you need to stop. You're becoming toxic like the typical leftist atheists.

We KNOW the Church has been infiltrated and corrupted, WE KNOW. It's getting really tiring seeing it on any and all posts about anything vaguely religious.

Yeah, when they distance themselves from the Catholic Church, then we'll know they are for real.

No heroes will remain on the side of a lie.

Does Mel have any real, authorized, legit social media accounts?

I've seen this vid all over insta; where did it originate from?

No dog in that fight. Mel falls into the same delusion of most conservative Roman Catholics; that the solution is to return to the traditional beliefs and practices and morals prior to the progressive movements since Vatican II in the 1960s. True restoration actually means reutrning to more of the beliefs and practices of Roman Catholicism prior to the advent of the Renaissance in the 15th- 16th centuries. That's when esoteric Judaism / occultism / humanism / paganism took its most deep seated roots into the thinking and practices of RCC and the Vatican hierarchy. And that was made possible by the previous advent of consolidated power in the Vatican and the assumption of papal primacy in ecclesial as well as social affaris.

Personally I thank God for the Reformation, but for those who wish to continue identifying as Catholics they would do better to look centuries further back to the credal Church that was relatively untainted by the dark worldliness that has ingrained itself in the Catholic establishment ever since, even the "conservative" Catholicism before Vatican II.

It's just a red herring to focus on the social moral dimension as the defining issues, while ignoring tons of Satanic theology and rituals and symbols that have been around a lot longer.

I know that he is supposed to be a white hat, and I have liked SOME of his movies, but he is still a f***ing asshole. Even without having a worse personality than a pile of poo, he is damn creepy. Way too fake.

Notwithstanding, just because someone is a white hat doesnโ€™t mean I have to like him. If he is strong enough to keep his soul, then good on him. Maybe there is some hope.

What I meant by keeping his soul is his supposed not selling it to the Cabal, from what I understand. Besides, I donโ€™t give a crap about those that have downvoted me. I met the asshole, and I saw absolutely nothing good, true, pure or civil in his person. People can form their own opinions when THEY meet him, and get back to me then.
