So what do you do if they tell you they are giving you leave without pay? How do you get around that one? I know someone who is being put in that situation. Any advice would be helpful.
I used to work for the federal gov and heard stories about assigning people they wanted to get rid of to crap jobs so they would quit rather than be fired. Some people spent years or even decades driving buses around or maintaining government vehicles rather than give in.
That's called constructive dismissal. The same as dismissal in the eyes of most lawyers. Harder to prove with a "bad, boring task" but unpaid leave is very clear.
My company are a bunch of globalist idiots. However they will most likely offer a severance package in an attempt not to get sued. I'm still not taking the shot. My life and freedom are more important even though i make descent money. I can have all the money in the world but if i die i cant take it with me
I have been showing CDC data to people at work. It's looking like a lot a people are going to get fired at this point but there is still the puss Factor i would venture to say 50 percent will fold
I refused to quit back in June so they revoked my access and said that “they were going to categorize it as a voluntary separation.” Still waiting on unemployment but what seems to have helped is to get a separation letter with eligibility for rehire which shows the dol you did nothing wrong and it was bc of Covid related issues blah blah blah. Worked for an evil European based international healthcare company. Used to work most of my career with the fed but what is the pulse in your opinion? When I left Doj in 2018, there was so much secrecy and unprofessionalism... “the resistance “
OAV, I stand in honor your courage, your sacrifice, your wisdom. You, and people like you, are heroes.
Thank you for standing strong.

Leave without pay? That means you force their hand with a termination letter so you can sue for unlawful termination.
Lawyer up.
That's the thing...they aren't firing you.

Yes the advice I see on here mostly is to stand firm and defend yourself. Do not quit and hold the line.
Don't listen to the Borg (who, incidentally, travelled in a cube, hint, hint).
Resistance is NOT futile.
Beautifully said !!!
