Liberals use the Fox News line often because they're parroting what celebs and media say. You can even watch 10-20 year old Simpsons episodes and find the jabs there too. I tell them I stopped trusting Fox News during the beginning of the Obama administration because they're just as much propaganda as the rest of the mainstream news channels. They usually shut down when you join them in saying that Fox News is propaganda, they're not prepared for that one.
I mention specifically the Obama administration because of how much he can't do wrong in their book, and I actually did catch them completely sensationalizing his words (much like everyone does to Trump).
Brilliant. Shut them down by agreeing with them, forcing them to agree with you or feel morally inferior for not following the leader.

I say something similar to this, too, when they charge me with watching Fox News:
"What? Fox News? Pfft...they're JUST as bad as CNN!"
Immediate cognitive dissonance.
I've tried citing their own leftist media sources to make points (the goalposts have moved so much that articles from 4 years ago on MSNBC look heretical now) but they refuse to acknowledge anything. These people are fucking NPCs.
I always tell them I refuse to watch Republican CNN and rely on primary sources to form my opinions.
Usually ends the conversation right then and there.
