Horse women here. I've taken invermectin 6 times this year. I bought a tube and push a little less iof an inch length on my finger and licked it off. It's bitter so have something to drink to chase it down. I did this for 5 days. Once a day. About two or three weeks later and I forgot about the worming and I had pain in my upper abdomen like i had to go to the bathroom but couldn't. Later I went and it was loose. Weird so later I started eating sandwiches with bread and I noticed I don't have the pain and the reaction I used to get when I eat bread. Gluten sensitive but not Celiac. I not suggesting anyone do what I did I didn't worry about the wormer itself because my father was a Veterinarian. My whole life I heard dad commenting people just needed a good worming. We thought he was joking. Dad, you were right and wish you were alive to see this. I miss you.
Best part was that it brought back a great memory... I'm glad for that. And thanks for the insight.
Your welcome. He turned me off of Sushi when he said " large mouth bowel worm" I had to look that up and thatc did it for me.
How awesome is this!... I'm happy for you because I know how hard it is.
Neighhhhhhh. So what does that mean for us horses?
Sorry fren, pills not paste.
Understood... was wondering if any math Anons can help a horse out with some sort of conversion. I can type, but I can't do math... my trainer never taught me.
I have a conversion chart but am unclear on how to post it.
Three divets on the tube handle (there are 25 divets total) three divets equals 13 mg. Total 91 mg in the tube for a 1250 pound horse.
Okay, I think I follow what you're saying. Let me explain what I'm thinking... the tube is 6.08 grams, and the Ivermectin percentage is 1.87% (at least that's how I interpret that). So 1.87% x 6.08 grams gives you .1137 grams. And that is equal to 113 milligrams. On the syringe, each notch is the equivalent of 50 lbs, and the syringe is for 1250 lbs. Divided by 50 lbs, that means there are 25 notches. Divide 113 milligrams by 25 and you get 4.52 milligrams per 50 pound notch. I happen to be 150 (I'm a tiny horse). So... three notches would give me the proper weight, and 13.56 milligrams of Ivermectin via the paste.
So, I'm not too far off when I take 3 notches, if this math is right. Can you or anyone validate my assumption about the percent that is Ivermectin? Is that how to read the tube accurately? I can read? Hahaha... Yes indeed. Trainer taught me my abc's as I trotted around the arena.
If anyone reads this and is alarmed, please let me know...
Lastly, I took it on Saturday and then a Monday. Just to get rid of possible parasites. Probably once a month do that 48 hour dual dose routine.
I just searched how much is in the whole tube, and I found it contained 91mg in the entire thing. So I divided 91 by the 25 notches. Comes to about 11mg for 3 notches.
Horse woman here. I always have more than the horses weight because some worms build up a resistance. Never hurt them. When I licked the paste off my finger, I want worried about having to be accurate. Just make sure you eat enough for your weight. 3 clicks 150. I might have ate 200 lb dose. No problem
200mcg/kg is the same as the .2mg/kg that is on the side of the horse paste which means this chart just assumed a general body weight for the pills.
Very useful. Thanks for posting this!
Thank goodness! Otherwise you'd only have a 99.9+% chance of surviving!
At least we're not like those vaxxers. Buying into the fake pandemic and all.
:)
I got in case I have to deal with the vaxxed shedding their spike protein.
Oh crap. Got any extra?
Typed it for you: http://dgmhup.gov.in/DocumentsCovid19/1621.pdf
However the site isn't responding for me. If I finally get it I'll re-upload it onto CatBox.
Edit:
Found it, via Internet Archive, but super not useful: it's in (I assume) Hindi.

(Catbox renamed it, it was "1621.pdf" I swear...)

Where did you get the meds?
❌❌Question: is the Durvet Ivermectin horse paste the same as the Durvet DuraMectin horse paste? ❌❌❌❌ Thanks!
