A few years ago I briefly worked at a gun store. We had a former hedge fund manager guy; he allegedly had a very large compound in the sticks with security staff comprised of go fast types. He would regularly buy large quantities of ammunition and firearms. The store owner was a blow hard type that bragged about how this guy told him he knew everything was collapsing. This one customer shaped the stocking decisions of the store to suddenly include survival gear, food storage buckets, and various other sundry knickknacks.
