Can we do all of them and have no parties? Let there not be a peer group influence? Go back to "politics is not a career and they'll meet when necessary at regular intervals"?
My state was >60% "Yea" - more than twice the percentage that voted Yea in general.
Our founders were soundly against political parties......we know why. They have their own agendas and ignore their oaths to obey the Constitution. If every candidate/public servant is a constitutionalist statesman, what is there to argue about?
What did Agent J day about people? “A person is smart, but people are dumb panicky animals...”. Same applies to politicians: any one of them is smart (‘cept maybe the “capsize Guam” guy), but get a bunch of them on the same team they’ll seldom stray against their leadership out of fear of losing their individual power (to help their own constituencies); I must vote this way or they’ll make sure I never get re-elected again (or worse).
Who is Agent J? Yes, parties pretty much ensure their own survival while ignoring their oaths--until they are totally exposed. The party system is just one more way that our founding documents have been ignored and their advice rejected. An awake, aware and constitutionally / Bible educated people will not stand for all of this; they are not there yet though.
So... Who cares to debate me about the necessity for the republican party to be destroyed- and preferably by the hand of Donald J. Trump?
