Ok, next week it will be $1.85. Then $2. But thank god they arent raising rhe price on food. By the summer you will see more tacked on charges then you see in a car dealership financing office.
I thought of that for 2.5 seconds, she’s just doing her job. Me not going back to eat there will hurt them more. I refuse to go eat at the “you gotta water a mask” establishments, this is just one more place to add to my list.
Did you ask her to clarify exactly what the charge is paying for? Are they penalizing you for having the audacity to spend money in their extablishment during a "pandemic"? Would they rather have no business? wtf.
The price of food and gas, it may take a little more? I can see not printing up new menu's if you thought it was temporary. I think you should have a sign as to why your charging a 5% sur charge.

They didn’t mention it to us. We could’ve probably gotten it wiped off, but $1.40 was not worth my peace today. I wonder how far they’ll go.

I won’t go back.
Yeah, fuck that. Let them know they screwed up big.
Their costs have gone up significantly..... wages, food prices, all the services they need to perform their business.
The mistake they're making is putting a surcharge on. Just raise prices like every other business has in the last year, if you need to raise prices.
Democratic mindset - let’s sneak it into the bill.
They're not raising the price of food, because reprinting the menus would be another expense.
I'll have to keep an eye out to see if they are doing that here. Article from Feb., apparently happening in other places also.

Just those stupid "table" charges by another name.
