Can someone provide an official source to America going bankrupt in 1999 and 1971? I've looked all over but I'm not as fantastically autistic as some of you out there. I've seen all kinds of very convincing video and op-eds, but nothing from any kind of official source that a normie would believe.

Pres. Nixon took us completely off the gold standard in August 1971. He also instituted wage and price controls which delayed inflation until Jimmy Carter came in. Then inflation really kicked in, and everyone was blaming Carter even though it was Nixon's fault.
