Hey again,
So Trudeau is enforcing mandatory vax for any traveler leaving a Canadian airport as of Nov 30, we're booked on a flight to Mesa, AZ for Nov 28th. Me, my wife, and 5 month daughter.
We're selling all our possessions here and starting again there. We have some family to crash with, our plan is to get an RV and slowly wind to Florida during early 2022.
We run a streaming/media business (weddings/corporate/performing arts) and will document our escape and restart.
Would love any help in Mesa to get us started; things like leads on buying ...
A decent used RV ~20,000
DSLR equipment/lenses
Electric bicycles
Any leads on clients for our business
Tips on digital nomad/refugee lifestyle with an infant
GW has been an incredible home during this time and I'll be updating as we go, would love to meet up with an Mesa Patriots with big hearts.
Putting our faith in God and the USA
Although Facebook massively sucks it is a good resource for looking for used vehicles on their marketplace, you could just create a burner account there to use for the marketplace if you wanted
In Phoenix, welcome, patriot!
We welcome you warmly.
Can't you buy a vehicle in Canada and leg it by road?
Land borders closed till Oct 21; and not sure about after... now reading about vax entry requirements.
The US has about 5 of the top 10 hospitals in the world. You are able to come to these as a Canadian if you’re paying cash. The only thing you’d need at the border is proof of an appointment at one of these places. The land border is not closed for medical purposes.
That's a great idea I hadn't considered.
Wondering if that would work for my family tagging along; maybe an appointment for the baby and we all go?
Do you know anyone who's done this?
We have the Nov 28 flights booked but according to
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/united-states-biden-travel-1.6182300
There's incoming vax requirements for visitors
I know people who have done this for an appointment with their baby. They drove across, no one asked for any vaxx Info. Also, you’re allowed to visit family here and as a Canadian, you can stay here for up to 6 months as a visitor.
It should be more than acceptable to have your baby looked at by any one of the 5 top 10 hospitals in the world here in the US and also visit your family while you’re here just in case your baby needs to go for the potential follow up appointment.
Did they need to arrange any visa with the embassy or just have a proof of appointment?
No, as a Canadian, you don’t need any kind of visa. They will call it a visitors visa but nothing additional needed other than your passports. By law, you can visit for 6 months per trip, per year.
You’d just need an appointment scheduled with the hospital or specialist.
Thanks for this tip Patriot very grateful
So bugging out to Novia Scotia isn't a good option for us any longer?
Not if you want the option to leave if unvaxxed
Welcome fellow Patriots
Sorry you’re leaving us. Good luck in your endeavours. Blessings to you and your family.
May be back if sanity returns. Can't just stay and wait for them to knock on the door
Are you sure you wanna bug out to 100+ degree Temps daily while you have basically nothing?with a baby? Unless of course you like that weather.
Good luck with your travels.be safe.abd welcome.
The weather is really mild in Arizona in the winter. Honestly I think Florida would be a crappy place to be in an RV but a lot of people here seem to do it so to each their own it's just very humid in the warmer months and extremely hot so you have to have an AC running the whole time
is it 100+ Jan-March? Thanks patriot will do our best
Jan to march its beautiful in AZ, lows in the 50s highs 80s usually. It doesnt get above 90 until after march. Looks like it is highs in the low 90s all week now, and temps will be dropping from now on. Jun til aug sucks balls with 100+ every day though. I hear Florida is worse as they have humidity
Can confirm, humidity so bad it feels like you're swimming in warm jello, nobody that's lived here a long time would buy a vehicle with a leather interior, or a dark one for that matter, as your ass will melt to it in July before your A/C can bring sweet relief, also we all own about a hundred pairs of sunglasses, I had crows feet in my early twenties from squinting in the unrelenting white hot sun. Welcome to FL. (Eventually) 😁
That is your answer to a problem not stick it out and fix the problem but to run. Traveling around the USA with an infant. Good luck on that.
What a shitty comment. I've attended/streamed protests, voted/volunteered for the PPC, what have you done?
You'd recommend my young family get trapped in their country?
That is ABSOLUTELY a shitty comment.
Welcome to the USA (while we still have it).
"Give us ... longing to be free". YOU sir are the kind of immigrant we need.
As long as no one comes here and votes for the trash that is causing the problem in the first place. Americans literally have no place to go. We know everyone wants to come here because we know our country is the last beacon of hope the world has. We are being invaded at our southern border like we've never seen by people who hate our country. A chunk of our own people hate our country. Those who refuse to fight against athoritarianism in their own countries will still have to fight against it here if they come here, because there is no where else to go. If america falls, the world falls. Sooner or later, we need to all stand up and restore the freedom that made america the envy of the entire world for so long. I personally welcome anyone who will stand on the side of liberty.
