I feel your pain buddy, nitter is a good way to browse Twitter without logging in, idk an alternative for Facebook but it’s good to have up for the people still in those battlefields, info is info

If you block all cookies from twitter, you never see the popups again.

Bugged the hell out of me when they added that, fortunately a solution presented itself very soon after.

On my monitor the "splash screen" is a ribbon along the bottom. Frankly, I hadn't even noticed it.
