I was told by the benefits center that if you get fired and you don't meet minimum retirement age yet that you cannot receive healthcare insurance when you'd turn 62...it ends with being fired. But with DSR we'd be eligible to keep our healthcare and we'd get the SS supplement. They said if you get fired, you can still get your deferred FERS pension but can't claim it until 60 or 62 based on your years of service. If you'd go the lawsuit route and win, it'd just take time for everything to be restored. What a mess! Why is this being allowed and for how long?
