Christmas is NOT a Christian holiday. It has always been a Pagan tradition and while I do feel the Christmas Carols are better suited with a mix of Christian themed music to compliment the secular tunes, Christ was NOT born on December 25th. He was born in the Spring time. Christmas is a world holiday to mark the darkest time of the year with lights and celebrations to bring up morale before having to endure winter.
Let's call this for what it is: a war on the morale of America. Christmas always brings great joy regardless of anyone's particular belief. Has it become over commercialized? Yes. But the reason they want to kill it is to kill the unity that it still brings. I would be lying if I said Christmas wasn't a powerful holiday, it's probably the biggest one of the year and for good reason. It marks the end of another journey around the sun. So yes, let's fight like hell for our traditions, but let's not pretend this only effects Christians.
