Most people think the Bush's are from Texas. They are not. They are carpet baggers from Connecticut and HW Bush's CIA cover was a 'Oil man from Midland, Texas.'
This article from Forbes just dropped on the USS Connecticut and I'll be damned if it's not rife with potential Comms about Secrecy, Accountability, Loyalty, Investigations, etc.
Example:
Mishap investigations can generate a tremendously corrosive environment, offering a myriad of opportunities for the crew—which has already been stuck in a confined steel tube for about five months—to settle all kinds of petty scores and to air irrelevant grievances. And, through it all, they cannot take a break.
More:
Even worse, the USS Connecticut’s Captain ( Bill Clinton ) and command cadre ( Bush's / CIA ) are in a particularly hellish limbo, juggling their doubts, griefs, and regrets with the challenge of repair work at an austere port. By now they are waiting for the axe to fall—an Admiral’s mast or an abrupt notification of relief, followed by a humiliating flight home, alone.
You know what really popped out to me in that Forbes article is this sentence:
It is as if the USS Connecticut does not exist.
This author specializes in Aerospace and Defense, but he treats the crew as generic. I was curious about the recent visit if the Vice-Admiral and the I found the sub commander is Cameron Aljilani. He has been the commander since 8/2019.
