I am going to be downvoted like fuck for this, but I'm saying it anyway: Gowdy was always a good guy who told us the truth. He resigned because he wanted to get on with his life and knew that as a legislator he had no real legitimate power of enforcement. He absolutely sucks as a Fox anchor (from the limited amount I've seen him), and I know he's kind of practicing law here and there. I have always thought that he'd be 100% great as the director of the FBI, possibly even attorney general, though I'd prefer Giuliani do that (he's kind of too old though and may not want it). Giuliani and Gowdy would be a very powerful combination, esp if they had access to all the unredacted sources of materials ...they could take down the deepstate.
I've had to defend Gowdy from people--I think they are either glowie shills of the anti-gowdy type, or they are people inducted into that thinking by the same--because the same thing keeps being said and it was wrong then and it's wrong now (wrong = incorrect). Gowdy did a fine job investigating Benghazi, but the congress (meaning gowdy) had no legitimate power to arrest. It's not within the congress's purview to arrest. He made criminal referrals to Loretta Lynch. SHE FAILED. NOT HIM. She failed to act on his referral and on his investigation. And then Deputy Dog and Bagpipes failed after her.
I watched him and his career for four years. All during the russia, Russia thing, he did nothing, he enforced nothing. And he had a position of power and could have made a difference. He was totally on the democrat side. He never defended Trump. I stopped trusting him way before the election. If he's not full blown dirty, he's full blown coward. Sorry. He's not a good guy.
He was going to literally join Trump's impeachment defense team, but he wasn't eligible due to lobbying regulations (for people bouncing between private and government positions). He left politics because even as high as he got, they had no use for law; he could never get anything enforced. He would have locked Hillary up for real. He's been on the right side of just about everything that has come past him.
I don't know - if almost as if he's perpetually circling the runway of this movie, waiting to make his entrance. We catch a wisp of his cologne only and it's not enough to tell if it's Avon Wild Country Cologne, or Creed Aventus.
He talks, but doesn't seem to do much else.
Nothing he's said in the past 3 years has been "breaking news" or revolutionary... but seems to only be parroting what others have said for months.
I agree with the perception that Gowdy seems to mostly stay in a safe zone; however, that's the same reason I am encouraged by this.
He certainly does not have a reputation of exaggerating or bloviating; and the fact that he used the word "treason" is huge. Assuming that source for his comments is accurate, Gowdy is not going to make those kinds of statements unless he knows there is proof.
He was based and then suddenly he seemed to turn (likely compromised) and shortly after left office. Since then he’s seemed to be out from under the DS thumb.
He wanted a job at FOX after it was acquisitioned by Disney; and they ikely said, "look Gowdy, you HAVE to distance yourself from Trump or you don't get the job" to which he likely would have said, 'here's the thing: he's my legal client and I want to keep protecting him but I'd be amenable to not saying anything GOOD about him but I don't want to say anthing BAD about him either, so how about i just pretend like he doesn't exist while i'm on FOX" Trump probably coached Gowdy and said good luck--I hope you take away a shit ton of their money.
I am not defending FOX; however, I think there is a lot of stuff that they just can't talk about on TV due to the fact of who their owners are, who sits on their board and since every other three letter agency is ruled by left they don't want to risk getting booted by the FCC. They drop things in subtle ways and give further information on Fox Nation. What is Gowdy suppose to do? He is one person, has no power and up against the Cabal, he would have been killed.
"Mr. Purple tie" -- he's walking a thin line and trying to play both sides but I don't think he's deepstate. I think in his heart he's for the patriots
He said he was leaving office to go back to being a prosecutor. Perhaps he'll be a prosecutor in the new GITMO courthouse. I'd pay to watch that TV show.
His soul is good, he got shorted in the guts department...there was too much evil to fight so he cut and ran. You cannot blame people if they choose not to lead, not all are lions.
I hope he finds strength because he's an effective orator....who
I agree...sometime the risk is too great.

Devin Nunez, Jim Jordan, Radcliff among a few others managed to break the thing wide open...and a legal defense team is not a lobbying group.
Well, put. got an upvote from me.
Updoot for you fren..
I want to believe Gowdy is good. I have no good reason to think otherwise
I wondered if he had cancer or something because if you look at younger pictures his nose is different. http://wx4sp1ml4bl80wd51ln2385o.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/trey-gowdy.jpg https://images.axios.com/Hj-_958BiY85jZ5p5BEsSIOLJUc=/fit-in/1920x1920/2018/02/14/1518619617113.jpg

Funny, and true--like he's sealed in carbonite waiting to be defrosted by Trump. I think he'll come back into the future.
He’s a loud mouth who never does anything but talk.
100% more than most talking heads they allow on tv.
I have Trey Gowdy on my "Ignore" list.
He talks, but doesn't seem to do much else. Nothing he's said in the past 3 years has been "breaking news" or revolutionary... but seems to only be parroting what others have said for months.

Fox news was not acquired by Disney. It was only the entertainment division that was purchased.
Disney purchased 21st Century FOX which was the movie and television catalog for $71.3 billion back in 2019.

FOX News is a separate entity.
Lin Wood didn’t need a FOX Contract...

Hes been on again off again... hard to get a good read
"Mr. Purple tie" -- he's walking a thin line and trying to play both sides but I don't think he's deepstate. I think in his heart he's for the patriots
I think he knows the truth and in this instance spoke it.
He is a truth telling patriot??
Gabby Grande
I like him, just tired of go along to get along BS. Lin Wood, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell put it ALL on the line.
Deep State
He said he was leaving office to go back to being a prosecutor. Perhaps he'll be a prosecutor in the new GITMO courthouse. I'd pay to watch that TV show.
I wondered that as well.

For all we know, his family might have been threatened. Don't forget Jim Jordan's nephew died.
