I'd say there were a good 250 or 300 of us at the antivax rally in front of pfizer & moderna (they are a few blocks from each other here in Cambridge - nicknamed "the people's republic of Cambridge" - a very liberal city). I saw people in the rally who I know are (or used to be) left wing - One who used to be very active in left wing rallies was there. He got double vaxed & ears have not stopped ringing since the 2nd. So now he's clearly against it. I'd say the movement is growing.
About a 1/3 of the cars beeped in support and almost every truck driver! Some passerbys tried to ignore us. Others were curious. We hit Moderna at lunch break & many were watching us from the windows. At least 25, maybe 50 altogether. I would wave at them & try to make eye contact. (The point is to reach the humanness inside them - they are all humans) A few moved from the window when I engaged with them this way. Others did not, though.
Upon leaving I was with a fragment that was saying "Let's go Brandon" lol. A passerby asked us who is Brandon? - lol-. The black woman in our company explained: "It means fuck Joe Biden" That passerby must have been one of the 200 or so people who actually did vote for Biden. She had a more negative reaction. But she heard us - and now she knows what it means - And hidden in that is the seed of the fact that the media is so full of shit ;)
She doesn't follow politics or anything like that. She is a pretty quiet normy and got vaxxed because "you're supposed to."
but fren, she was posting about the huge crowd! Does she understand WHY people were there? She must have gotten some clue that maybe some people are opposed to what her employer is doing. Look, even if she only cares about money she can at least complain to them that she has to battle the crowd on occasion & needs to be paid more for that.
The reason we have these rallies is to make these normies aware - or at least ask questions - at least notice that something exists that isn't on CNN
She doesn't even watch CNN, like nothing. She doesn't care why the crowds are there.
