The prop union—IATSE 44–supposedly wasn’t there nor hired for this job. It was all NM crew.

I’ve never worked with IATSE, but the original statement I saw said that the props crew on Rust were all local, New Mexico hires, not Local Union 44. 44 is the division of IATSE that handles props in CA films that require union hires, afaik.
