I know our phones and social medias listen to us, but I can only think that Google was reading my mind the other day. Let me explain. So, I was cleaning my house and found a little pill on the floor. I assumed it was my daughters, but nor sure which one it was and was worried what would have happened if my dog ate it. So without ever saying anything, or talking to anyone I started to type "oval" into Google, and it completed "shaped pill with" and the exact letters and numbers printed on the pill i found. I had already thrown the pill in the trash before I pulled the phone out of my pocket, so no chance the camera caught a glimpse. And what are the odds that enough people have searched the exact same term for it to auto fill perfectly. IDK.

Once I broke my manual egg beater and said aloud I'd need to get another. The next time I looked at my Amazon Vine page with potential items I could order and review, there was one available.
But Alexa is only listening for the trigger word right? Soon it will be like on Minority report when the video billboards had ads targeted at the people walking by and used their name in video. SMDH
if it is listening for a trigger word. it IS LISTENING......ALL THE TIME
Exactly!
Exactly so. I believe that it also performs a speech to text conversion so everything it can hear will be stored as text on a server somewhere.
I bet there are Data Protection issues somewhere alonmg the way but I am also prepared to bet they have found a way to circumvent those.
My sister has one in her home and I asked her if she would be happy to install a microphone that relayed all her conversations to a neighbour. She said: "Of course not." I am not sure what to do after that!
I tried it, I had to get all the way to "oval shaped pill" before it suggested any letters. Curious to know what the suggested letters were - mine were H49, R180, K-25
If search results are tailored, then they must be tailored by something. If that something is your thoughts then I don't think I want to do this anymore.
Did somebody in your household order the pills online?
That is a good point. We use express scripts online, but still. Crazy to think that just the work Oval would populate the rest. Maybe if I had typed "oval shaped", but literally just typed the word Oval. I work in cybersecurity so I am more cautious than most, but I am really growing to hate technology.
I can't tell you how many times I've just thought of something and the next thing you know there's an ad for it. Not only that but I've talked to several people who've had the same experience. And I've never been vaxed, so if something has been implanted then I must have eaten it, lol.
Can’t say for sure, but I’ve had my share of odd circumstances with search engines and/or ads
A lady named xtremerealitycheck on youtube, bitchute, etc did a video on this a year or two again and she had some interesting insights.
I will have to check that out. My bag of conspiracy theory rabbit holes is running low. I need some more to run down. :)
I've heard similar stories, but personally I've only experienced this sort of thing with topics or phrases that I've uttered aloud. Sometimes, it's happened even without a nearby phone or computer which would suggest that some other devices may have embedded microphones, or perhaps video surveillance.
Anyway, have you tried asking your daughters about it?
If you walk around your home with your phone in hand Google, Facebook, Apple and Alexa (AKA Amazon are listening...
We don't have Alexa. But sure as hell, somebody hears. Because I have lost count about how many times an item pops up on the pc or phone that is what I only mentioned earlier in the day. And if I searched for it already, then of course it shows up everywhere else for me. Now when this can be triggered by thoughts alone, we are fkn in trouble aren't we.
I also had a bizarre google/youtube mind reading incident.
I haven't watched John Pinette videos for, probably, over a year.
With all the current buzz about Chappelle being the GOAT lately I started just thinking about who I thought the greatest stand up comedians were/are. Pinette came instantly to mind.
I didn't say anything out loud as I live alone and no one would hear me anyway.
The next thing I see, and I mean within minutes, is youtube suggesting a John Pinette video.

His better videos are on youtube but then I'd have to add a youtube link. ENJOY
