I don't have the resources on here, so maybe someone else can help with links. But there is free legal council on this stuff.
I personally would get a lawyer. If not you could scare them by filing woth the BBB and also sending them a written letter to sue them in small claims court for waisting your time where you could have been working for another business. Small claims fee is only 35$.
You can also try to get an exemption of you feel like it.
Coercion is illegal. Tell them no and that was not part of your employment.
If they try to force it on you even after you say NO then you can sue them.
I hate to say it friend but when you get hired through a third-party staffing agency you are always subject to the clients rules when you arrive on site to work now with that being said I still don't believe forcing a jab the day you begin work is legal especially when it's not FDA-approved but as far as the mask goes that's up to the client you were contracted to work for. If they require it as a private company in my experience you'd have to oblige. I've gone through the same exact thing with shaving my entire beard. Sounds weird but I am a welder who was contracted to a site that required clean shaven after years of working for the third party without having to.
The legal side is something that probably depends on where you live.
In terms of handling the client, I would reference the email, job ID, whatever it is that documents the callout to the client site, and assuming that they have made it clear I cant enter the site to do the task, ask if they would like me to wait outside or leave. Asking you to leave as soon as you arrive is an escalation of hostilities.. and nobody wants to bring fallout down on themselves, so likely they will want you around while they cover their own ass and call up their own managers and yours to discuss. Find a local coffee shop and chill after making it clear to your own manager that you are following the clients directions & waiting on further info from them.
They can of course refuse work 100% for the flimsiest of reasons, but they should also be charged since your time has been used for the travel out there, and you also need to be reimbursed not just for the time whatever this has cost you in terms of commuting, parking charges, tickets for public transport, gas for your car and so on.

If it's Robert Half/Office Team, they're fucking terrible.
Cant make unvaccinated wear anything a vaccinated person does not need. That would be telling others your medical information.

No, OP is not obligated to get the death shot.
