I also live in Adelaide and work the streets, but not the Hanson road type. But I see them all day long. Seems like we have more Ambulance patrols then Police.

I've actually started to see loads of cops around now too, but hadn't seen ANY for months and months... suddenly they're all over the place. I think they want to start ramping up sleepy Adelaide next and get them coming in line with the martial law status in Melbourne... can't wait :/
