I once got the list of all the companies that received the TARP money. The companies all cried "we'll go under if we don't get that money!", but when I ran the numbers, the amounts were typically a few percent of the net value of the company. They could of obviously sold off a building or two, or stock, or something, to raise the same amount of money, but of course, they wanted all of us U.S. taxpayer suckers to pay for their stupidity. I never saw any talking head call them out on this obvious fact back when it was all happening; further evidence that even "conservative" media is in on scams across the board.
