My husband, though completely aware of everything happening right now (and not vaxing no matter what) has not exactly taken good care of himself and now he's in a bad place. High BP and just had a mild stroke from my estimation. He's been pretty toxed out for a while and even through many arguments where I pleaded with him to take care of himself, caring for him rests on me.
Doing as much with natural healthcare as I can, but I am OVERWHELMED and far away from family. I am just looking for advice for anyone in a similar boat or having advice for staying out of mainstream healthcare -- the last time he had an issue years ago, the doctor nearly killed him.
For something so serious and acute, are there naturopathic or alternative doctors non-vax friendly that can be helpful? how to find.
Also accepting prayers and good thoughts if you've got them.
I'm going to list down food suggestions and the corresponding articles related to decreasing blood pressure that I found in the book Conquering Any Disease: The Ultimate High-Phytochemical Food-Healing System by Jeff Primack. His website: www.Food-Healing.com
-Beets (apparently its the highest food with Nitrate which converts into nitric oxide, which helps with blood circulation and lowering blood pressure; "Beetroot juice enhances cycling performance. Med Sci Sports Exerc. 2014; 46).
-Celery (he states, "Got high blood pressure? Eat 4-6 stalks of celery daily and you might be able to kiss it goodbye. I know dozens of my students who were able to normalize blood pressure within 3 months of incorporating celery. Most of these people made a lifestyle change and gave up the foods in section 2 of this book while following complete food healing protocol for cardiovascular enhancement." pg. 75 of book) Here is a quote from the study Antihypertensive effect of celery on rat blood pressure. J Med Food. 2013; 16: "Celery extracts have antihypertensive properties. They are attributable to actions of active hydrophobic Phthalides and can be considered as an antihypertensive agent in chronic treatment of elevated blood pressure." Additionally, in this study entitled, "Cardiovascular pharmacology of Phthalide in hypertensive mice," from the journalt Phytotherapy. 1997; 11: "Phthalides lower blood pressure acting as diuretic and vasodilator by impacting prostaglandins and calcium-channel blockers."
Ok, so there are probably like ten more foods he recommends, but after typing out the celery bit, I think you should just start there and follow these other recommendations of his: avoid all fried foods. Oxidative free radicals hardens fat into plaque, which is one of the main causes of high blood pressure. "Higher saturated fat intakes are actually associated with lower stroke risk." ("Associations of fats with cardiovascular disease in 18 countries." Lancet 2017; 390) He says the French and Italian have the lowest rates of hypertension, despite France having the highest saturated fat intake of all the nations. His hypothesis is that a high cholesterol and saturated fat diet with avoidance of free radicals in BBQ and fried foods leads to the longest lifespan. Here is the heart healing protocol he referred to in the celery section: #1: Eat RED Carotenoids everyday (red bell pepper or tomato paste, which boosts HDL good cholesterol. HDL breaks apart LDL. Carotenoids in pepper/tomato paste donate electrons to soften arterial plaque through anti-oxidant activity. Eat 1 tablespoon daily pepper paste or tomato paste. (Be sure to use organic veggies/fruits). #2: Morning tonic with extra reishi. Reishi is widely used in Asia to help lower LDL cholesterol and reduce angina and shortness of breath associated with coronary hear disease. Adenosine is the active molecule in resihi mushroom that opens the arteries. He recommends 3 dropperfuls x1 time daily with a morning tonic and for serious heart disease, 6 dropperfuls with the morning tonic. He recommends Dragon Herbs Wild Red Reishi. Reishi is completely safe and non-toxic even in extreme amounts. Reishi dilates arteries thereby stopping angina pain. Morning tonic (8 oz. of water, add 1-3 squirts of wild red reishi, 1/2 tablespoon of maca powder, 1/4 tsp. of mucuna powder, add 1 tsp. Reuteri or 1 Goodbelly (see his website for the goodbelly); stir well and drink on the spot), after that here is the rest of the morning ritual he recommends: drink 1 - 3 cups of hot lemon water, tea, or coffee in a relaxed state, keep drinking fluids until a big bowel movement is achieved, take a shower after bowel movement to clear sleep and stagnant Qi, make a high-phytochemical smoothie drink 20 oz, do qigong and then stretch 45-90min, eat protein from eggs and hot veggie breakfast. #3: Have a morning smoothie with organic fruits/vegetables using a 3-horsepower blender like Blendtec or Vitamix. He says you can add a big seed from an avocado in it as well. 20 oz of smoothie once daily. #4: Qigong and swimming are perhaps the two best types of exercise for people with heart disease. Many students that he has trained over the years have reversed high blood pressure and balanced blood sugar without changing their diet much, just doing Qigong. #5: Celery to lower high blood pressure. Eat 6 stalks of celery daily and you can kiss it goodbye. Celery contains the most luteolin, which is shown in clinical research to increase nitric oxide production. This is how celery relaxes muscles around arteries and allow your blood vessels to dilate. With more space inside the arteries, the blood can flow at a lower pressure. "Luteolin induces nitric oxide production and arterial relaxation. " Eur. J. Nutr. 2014; 53. Avoid high salt intake foods; 75% of salt eaten comes from processed foods. Avoid soy sauce if blood pressure is high. #6: Eat foods specifically to reverse heart disease: okra, eggplant. Okra contains special fibers and gums that pull the fat out from arteries. Okra must be eaten 4x week in some form. Chlorogenic acid in eggplant inhibits the ACE enzyme much like ACE inhibitors that lower cholesterol. It relaxes the walls of blood vessels and improves blood flow. If your heart disease is mild you can eat eggplant 3x week, 1/4 to 1/2 large eggplant every other day. If it is bad and you might need surgery, incorporate an eggplant tea. Seafood and shellfish like wild salmon, shrimp, and sardines have DHA-EPA oils that help raise HDL good cholesterol, which in turn lowers bad cholesterol. Fatty fish also appears to thin blood similarly to blood thinners. I suggest eating wild salmon, sardines, or shellfish 3x week. Additonally, pomegranate 2 oz juice or fruit pods blended with ice, beets (one small beet everyday in a salad or smoothie), 1 avocado daily, shiitake mushrooms 1-2x week, raw garlic as much as you can (a powerful blood thinner), high quality chocolate dark 1-6 small servings a week apart from meals, red onions daily raw and cooked (high in quercetin), 1oz aged cheese 3x week (aged gouda has the highest type in vitamin K2), use butter instead of seed oils to cook and olive oil on salads (don't cook with olive oil because it will turn carcinogenic), eggs 2x week (organic) with tomato/pepper paste. Avoid free radicals--the cause of lipid hardening.
Anyway, good luck and wishing you both the best of health. I recommend that you check out his website and buy his book--totally worth it. He has a ton of recommendations on his websites for recipes, qigong, different products that are actually really good. I utilize his advice a lot to help treat myself, my friends, and my family. I'm praying that you both will have the ability to heal yourselves, inside and out. God bless you both.
