• Arguably, "Ren N Stimpy" was pretty fucked up, even though I personally liked it as a kid, but it probably shouldn't have been shown to little kids.

-90-99% of LJN video games, particularly on NES, were absolute garbage. For reference, I refer you to a good chunk of AVGN episodes.

So we're clear, I'm not saying there wasn't some great things about the 90s, and even with my fucked up childhood, I have some pretty fond memories of that time period, but it had its dark moments as well. The problem is that everything that's happening right now is immediate, so it feels more real to us than the problems of the past were. Even for us old timers who lived through them, are vague and far away.

Honestly, I think the most surreal thing for me is that the conservatives are the ones laughing and telling jokes and having a good time while the leftists are the moralists and the prudes trying to shame everyone for not being as 'moral' as they are, lol.
