I'm thinking about eating all of my strategic emergency food supply that I have for my family. I figure it may help lower food supply costs. I'm an off the cuff thinker. ANY THOUGHTS?

Sorry, I thought most would realize
It's a good idea to eat some of the older emergency food supply, then replace it with new. Turnover of the supply is a good thing, helps keep the food fresh for when you really need it most.
lol, sounds like you can build back better, or you can own nothing and be happy!
Why plan ahead right?
YOU BE THINKIN' like the folks that say using emergency oil supply will make Thanksgiving 2021 travel cheaper.
I'm thinkin , no didn't have to be prepared for an emergency yet, they never happen right?
I'm using mine from the back. It's kinda old anyway and was bought comparatively cheap. I'm talking grocery store stuff, not MREs or freeze dried.
Before doing that, I would try to eat on a cheaper food budget.
Plenty of funds, that's not the issue
But why, there's no emergency

It might be a good idea to try some of the dehydrated foods. Taste them, see if you can add something to it to stretch the meal. I find most to be very salty so I like to account for more water storage.
I love using the dried celery, onions, bell peppers because for 1 person a stalk of celery spoils before I could use it all.
Another way to save, check out meals mostly made with flour like make your own noodles, halushky, perogies, blintzes, dumplings, pita and naan breads.
You are suppose to eat it. I’m on borscht from 2016 and pickles from 2017 now ;D. Had to make room for stew from 2021
