I'm thankful for God, country, family, Q, Trump, all my Frens here (and the great mods). In the midst of this chaos and our often frustrating wait time, take time to reflect on all you have. Blessings, everyone.

I try to make most of my side dishes and desserts the day before so today is cooking day. I love working in my kitchen, adding all my special touches. I am SO grateful to be in my own space, even though it's small - it's perfect. So much contentment to be grateful for this year, yes, even in the midst...... so much goodness in this world of ours. Bless the Lord Oh my Soul!
Hey, that's what I do too. I love making all my pies and cakes at the end of Thanksgiving Eve. Chop all the onions and celery and things so they're ready for dressing. Make any mac or potato salads in advance. Pull out everything I'm making and place ingredients on the table. It takes (usually a woman) a day and a half to two days to prepare and make; and then it takes about 30 minutes to eat the main meal. All that prep time/ not to mention clean up time for a delicious meal. IS IT WORTH IT TO US?
YA DARN TOOTIN' IT IS.
Where were you when I was hunting for a wife...Howls....have a blessed day!
Where I've always been. HOME. Haha.
Winks....
Prep day here, too! Nice to get it out of the way today and relax a little tomorrow.
We eat early to save time for grazing after the post-turkey coma!
I'm fasting today so I can Pig Out tomorrow.
Respect. Once you fast, you understand the energy you can bring back into daily life. We eat too much food daily. Part of our own daily energy is lost digesting to excess food we eat. But i still love a big Thanksgiving Dinner. I started the extra grazing already.
Yep. Just laid down for a quick nap. Been at it since 4 am. Only thing left is Turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. All the casseroles ready to go and pies are made. Smells so good in here. Happy Thanksgiving!
Ah! I can smell the sweet aroma of allspice and cinnamon, onions and celery, fresh baked dinner rolls and soon the smell of baking turkey. Mmmm Mmmm Good. God bless you and yours and have a wonderful happy Thanksgiving. And lest we forget
LET'S GO BRANDON.
I have literally been in my kitchen all day. Last chore is to wash down a 25 year-old dollhouse saved from my daughter who now has 2 daughters old enough to play with.
Yes! My 12 year old will be helping a lot today with sides and desserts and my almost 4 year old has declared that she too will be helping. I'm sure my 1 year old will be up on her tot tower watching and making her own messes and offering her own special brand of gibberish advice. This is the first year in a very long time (maybe ever) that my little family has had a small Thanksgiving just for us and I am so excited to start building traditions!
Amen!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
