No, we don't know the exact day. But that's not as important as spiritually observing His birth and death.
Look at the church near you. Do you think that's God's church? from one angle it is (everything is His). But from another angle (spiritual vs worldly) it's only a shadow of the true church (and even then it may not be because it's wordly and some bad stuff might go on there (and on the flipside holy things may go on there)).
You can get caught up in this but it's a snare in the world to take you away from the spiritual.
Yes, there's lots of worldly things surrounding Christmas (commercialism, etc), but to the spiritual it's a time to celebrate the birth of Christ (even if we don't know the exact day he was born), and unify in spirit to remember, and emulate his love, joy, peace, and share it to the fallen world.
If you want to cancel Christmas and Easter because of the worldly connections, be careful, because you risk severing the deeply spiritual meanings behind them. Instead, be quick to recognize the disconnects interjected by the world, and maintain steadfast focus on the spirituality behind it.
That's impossible. Christ is not in them and never was. I see that these are a god in your life but He will not suffer such idolatry and He sure as hell won't suffer any gods before Him.
We are called to be separate from the world and avoid being unequally yoked.
The world LOVES these holidays but the world also rejects and despises the things of God. Jesus said they would. If those holidays had any true spiritual significance, the world would hate them. How do you not realize this? Oh,that being given over to strong delusion thingy.
The world? I don't think you get to speak for the world. Whatever relationship someone has with God is between them and God alone. God doesn't need you to second guess him.
Anon, i'm dead to the world, i live for God and Christ. But i can tell you Christ is in Christmas. One year i heard the carols beign sung at the church, it was "Oh come all ye faithful" and it was so touching, it had to have been a spiritual experience and i felt very close to Him.
If i go to someone's house for Christmas and they have a christmas tree up, and we celebrate around the understanding we are celebrating Christ's birth, we get together to be close, i'm not going to break the spiritual connection and benefit that joy and happiness brings to start talking about how bad it is for them to have a christmas tree up in their house. That, to me, would just go against the whole spiritual nature of the moment, bringing in harsh judgement for wordly decoration, where joy and love and peace should be flourishing in the spirtual.
Boy, are you in for the shock of your existence. Calling evil good is not from the Holy Spirit. Not only have you been given over to strong delusion but the Lord has nothing to do with you. You're a poser. A loser.
If you think my judgement is harsh, you're in for a bad time.
Anon i've faced way worse. But, like someone else said, it's between me and God. And just to be clear i haven't called any evil good. But remember anon judge not lest ye be judged.
Quote the entire passage, not just your preferred portion.and you'll see that motive is the issue concerning judgement and not judging in and of itself.
"Judge righteous judgement." John 7:24.
Sure, keep it between you and God. The only problem with that is that God uses men to proclaim His Judgments. Try reading the Bible every once in a while.
I have always felt this way about Christmas. Never looked into it. Easter should be the biggest holiday of the year. Not shopping wise, just most celebrated. I mean his birth was a good thing, but his death and conquering of death is more important. Thank you Jesus.
Easter was a celebration honoring Ishtar (goddess of fertility, hence the bunny and egg symbolism) and nothing has changed. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. You condemn yourselves by celebrating either holiday.
He never called us to celebrate his death and resurrection, he called us to identify with him through his death and resurrection.
The feast of tabernacles, Passover and pentecost are the ONLY God-ordained observations. Biblical believers never gave thought to or celebrated birthdays either.
If you're going to walk with God, you're going to have to leave them behind like your own dung.
I never understood that whole rabbit and eggs thing anyway. I'm more into the real reason. My walk with God has been very close this past year and a half. I've learned a lot listening to Him. Even our worship of the cross is wrong.
Amen. Yes, the second commandment. I once knew the Lord to say "I died on the cross and rose again on the third day, and these people (Christians) won't let me off of it."
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Most of the so called Christian holidays come from a satanic background that has been manipulated and fed to us as something holy. Jesus was not born on Dec. 25 either. He was born on Sept. 11. This is something, IMO, that must be fixed as we are fixing the world and ridding it of satan altogether.
I think the hardest pill for most people to swallow is when they find out how many world leaders, athletes, celebrities, actors/actresses and so many more actually worship satan and when they speak of their God, they are actually referring to satan. Educating yourself on satanism will go a long way toward helping you see and understand better this final battle of good versus evil that is playing out right in front of us.
Wait, please I am so confused. I heard about the entire Christmas thing yesterday and that was upsetting enough. I am new to the bible and I am getting very confused now. So I heard some say Jesus was born on 9/11 but we don't know for certain. Maybe it is in the hidden documents at the Vatican. Maybe the White Hats already have it. 9/11 is an odd day considering we were "attacked" on 9/11. The hard pill to swallow should be the children. Who gives two shits about the celebrities. They can rot in hell.
I feel like I will read the bible only to find out it is not true.
Santa anagram for Satan. I have a hard time celebrating Christmas once I realized it's satan worship in disguise. I don't put up lights or anything anymore, but still get gifts for everyone. I don't want to be a scrooge, lol, but I just don't have the "Christmas spirit" anymore.
For those downvoting my posts, sinning is bad enough. Defending your sins is another ordeal. Just know that God will hold you responsible for the truth that you rejected. Believe me, I learned the hard way.
Hold onto your gods if you want but you will pay the price.
I am more Animus type of person. I believe we all should be treated respect, man woman child animal, and the Earth. We all have spirits and sentience, whether us primates wanna admit it or not :D
Hold up.

We do know the day. Read "Jesus Christ our promised seed" victor paul weirwille
It will explain it better than me if you want to k ow.

"And you shall know them by their fruits."
You make a dangerous assumption. I speak what I'm given to speak and I don't give a damn about what you think.
I'm not second guessing God. What I'm doing is trying to help people understand why it's problematic.
Who are YOU to second guess the Lord? I'll tell you this, if the Lord is speaking through me then it's Him that you're in contention with.
If you can't handle the truth, well, that's too bad for you.

it was Matthew 7:1, anon. Try stay humble and remember 1 Corinthians 13

You're very welcome fren! We need to spread the truth far and wide!
Good share above

Jesus Christ was born September 11 , 3 b.c., between the hours of 3 and 6 pm.
Roman catholicism brought saturnalia or the birth of the sun into it. God told us not to be a respecter of times or seasons.
Philippians 1:15-18 KJV
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Some hard hitting stuff here. Not sure I believe it 100%, but it is eye-opening.
The same way he feels about Easter, and Jesus aka Osiris-Dionysis....ooops did I say the quiet part out loud?
Wait, what?
Christianity has everything to do with Jesus Christ. It has little to do with man made doctrines and traditions known as religion.
I am more Animus type of person. I believe we all should be treated respect, man woman child animal, and the Earth. We all have spirits and sentience, whether us primates wanna admit it or not :D
I agree.
Can you elaborate? Do you believe Christ exists? Or is there something more in depth here.
He definitely exists. He IS God. I'm just being frank.
Halloween, are you 5?
