This is also something to consider.
There are whole swaths of communities that report no ill effects.
I'm guessing the vast majority were saline until they could ramp up productions.
Now that you mention that, it makes me think of my last year working in bloodbanking, there was a saline shortage, the company we used was Baxter, a major medical supplier, and hospitals were asking the bloodbank to loan them back stock, because we only used saline for certain procedures like apheresis, double red cell donation, and platelets. This was in late 2018 or 2019, my memory is fuzzy, but no one could figure out the saline supply shortage, I wonder if it all was going to the pfizer machine 🤔
I remember this! My cousin had just started a new job as a pharmacy tech in a hospital and when we asked her how it was going she mentioned this…..I usually only see her around November/December so it would have been later in the year but I also don’t know if it was 2018 or 2019.
And to limit adverse effects from the first wave. The boosters however...no saline anymore will bet
