Not sure if you know the dynamics, but Hindu's generally hate muslims. This guy making that tweet indicates he is an extra woke - even for a Silicon Valley Indian, and explains why he shot up so high so fast.
I definitely understand. I have a muslim indian employee who had to go back to India last month because his visa expired and he was legitimately depressed because the treatment of Muslims in India has worsened since Modi took over.
Perfect example of a foreigner with very valuable skills who wants to live in the US and pay taxes and contribute positively to society but can't get a green card, while we let every south american with a pulse swim across the rio grande. Its disgusting.
I hear you, and it applies for all the folks who come in on skilled visas. Even 20 years ago when I was there, it was taking 7-8 years for GC, but now its pretty much impossible. Living long term on a visa is really bad, especially if you have a family and kids etc.
On the other hand, these very same people (including me when I was there) have very very little understanding of the country and its people. They see everything through the lens of their co-workers and bosses at these tech companies, and end up believing that an average White American is a supremacist with no skills. They turn woke, actively participate in dismantling the constitution and they think they are doing something great.
I got a much better perspective after I left US, but more so after I reached a point in life where I did not have to work 10-12 hours everyday to get ahead of the game. Thats the real problem - forcing people to work all the time keeps them ignorant and easily programmable.
Yeah, none of this is related to the original discussion - perhaps if I had said that his name looks Hindu and not Muslim, it would have been technically correct, but I was not sure if people here really know what a Hindu is.
The name Agrawal is a traditional Hindu name, yes. In fact I have two of them that work for me. But there are still millions of Muslim Indians.
