I watched electric cars on the show Top Gear. Electric Cars suck right now. We're not there will the technology to eliminate gas fueled cars. You'll be running around all the time with an electric cord and waiting overnight for a full charge. It's bullshit. If they're so worried about pollution, why not start with China? And stop using your private jets, you morons.
Lithium batteries are not a fuel source. Lithium batteries store electricity that comes from another source: oil, coal, sun, etc. I suppose all energy is derived from the sun in some way.
The best way to help the environment is to stop buying a new car every few years. Use it until it’s dead. Then get a preowned one and repeat. Learn how to fix stuff yourself to save money. Brakes are one of the easiest.
And after 4 hours charging you can get back on the road. But you will have to stop in 100 miles to wait another 4 hours. The 250 mile trip from Detroit to Chicago which you can do in 4 hours will take 12 hours.
Carbon isn't poison anyway. The biosphere is actually carbon-starved these days precisely because so much is locked up in fossil fuels. Releasing it is one of the best things we can do for the planet. Plants/crop yields would flourish. They pump CO2 into greenhouses for a reason.

Why would anybody wanna buy an electric vehicle. That’s ridiculous
Indiana 80/90 toll road--they are installing many tesla chargers at rest stops. 15 to 20 at each rest stop.

There's also the Li in Afghanistan
One of the South American countries in the Andes region has more lithium than the rest of the world combined.
Yeah, it was mentioned right when we pulled out that either this will finance the Taliban, or China will be after it. Fun times over there.
