Can someone point me towards a lawyer in Michigan that works with discrimination?
My under 100 employee workplace just issued a non negotiable mask mandate, but only for certain employees. I was told I would need a Drs note or face not termination, but a 2 week unpaid leave.
Can anyone please provide information or point me towards the info
Thanks all
I don't know if this will help, but OSHA (at one time anyway - as recently as this past Spring) had it in their guidelines that face masks were 'personal protective equipment' and had to be A) prescribed by a doctor and B) properly fitted by a professional.
If that is the case, who is the doctor at your company who is prescribing them and who will do the fitting? Because a piece of cotton that slumps and falls does not filter out covid particles that are 1-4 microns in size. Perhaps do some research on OSHA's recommendations / requirements for employers with those things in mind. Good luck and please keep us posted. To me it seems that some of the far left zealots are losing the plot, losing the whole covid narrative and suddenly trying to jump in at the 11th hour. It won't work.
OP, I'm currently fighting this in Michigan, as well as the vax with a global company. I am taking a Common Law approach with no lawyers. It's a lot to learn, but it is doable.
Here's part 5 of my series. You can read all the posts, but this one captures most everything, and has the latest state.
