Possibly, but let me entertain you with this method of organization:
The ideal method of effectively taking on a government force is to create no bigger than 5 man cells with minimal comms that are decentralized with a common purpose. Anytime you create a unit or org that is bigger than say 20 people or so, there has to be a lot more resources involved to keep the unit together. Plus it makes it easier to quarantine a group rather than scattered cells, and the tactics will have to rapidly change in order to adapt, which will be to the advantage of the smaller cells.
The good thing about this? It takes almost no effort to create one of these small OU's. You probably already have one created amongst your family and friends, and all you really need at this point is maybe a few more supplies, but you are basically battle ready. Get some exercise in, practice a few scenarios and learn to fast and go without water for longer periods of time, and you're much further ahead than any platoon sized invasion.
Wow, you've really thought this through, haven't you? Yes, I do know a few veterans in my circle who would be all too ready for such... and we've sort of chatted about it in circumspect ways.
The problem is doing that is very expensive. Your are asking for more government, which is never the answer. Legalize the constitutionally protected citizen militias. Or, have states fight against overtaxation by the federal government. We citizens really should stop paying for all the unconstitutional bullshit.
You mean "very expensive" in that the States already pay for State National Guard? If the State cuts its funding, and it reserves the right to do this, then you have less National Guard in the State. Now the State can invest that money in a State militia.
True about "expensive"... but please also note that I did mention the militia too. I know quite a few folks in my area who would be glad to become part of a state sanctioned militia. And a "well regulated" one at that.
Great. This offers the opportunity for states to form their own militaries and militias.
