It reminds me of them baddies who add an extra dot or square to the Q/-. R code,s using a black sharpie! Someone said it screwed up the whole system and it wouldn't work, which is a shame ehh.
I tested this idea. QR code seems to have a lot of redundant squares. I couldn't make it fail.
You must study how the QR coding works. Then you can modify the codes. It's probably easier to create your own, print them out the right size on labels, and stick them over the original codes. Perhaps link to this site, or perhaps Rick-roll people. That's always a lot of fun.
Spray paint would do it
The point is to use a sharpie because you can control it very easily and at a glance no one would know.
you know QR codes have an error correction of around ~30%. You can literally crop out a third of the code and it will still work as long as the image is square.
It wont work, except to get you charged with vandalism, or worse because 'muh holoocough!'

You could do it if you understood the underlying theory well enough, but honestly, it would be easier to just replace their qr codes with your own.
Heck if you wanna get really ambitious, you could set up phony "check-in" locations with your own qr codes pointing to redpilling documents.
Just throw the papers away.
