While simultaneously poisonings it. The fertilizers and run offs into the ocean is causing major issues along coasts all over the USA. The Red tide, is called Cyano bacteria. It's caused by bacterial imbalanced caused by nutrient overload. Nutrients being super pumped up nitrates, and phosphates from fertilizers, also run off from poop water. The waste gets broken down for sure, but the nutrient still gets exported to the Oceans. I have reef tanks at home, and often do small experiments with playing with bacteria's and bacteria loads. Also they sell bottled versions of the waste management type bacteria for waste removal. I have used this and replicated the "red slime" "red tide" here at home a few times. I know whats causing it :D
