Mass hysteria makes one see what they want to see. How many times does this happen where it’s not reported by the news or on a website? Are we just noticing it more because we’re seeking it out?

Nope, there's data been published here and other places. Yuuuge curve up after 2020. Unless of course all the statistics are fudged, which is also possible but becoming more unlikely.
