Tbh this is like interpreting poetry (song lyrics) or Bible verse, and so itβs biblical in that sense.
Learn to think/read literally and metaphorically.
I do not believe it is any more complicated than that, but like anything some people will have a better head for decoding it. So dont worry.
Just know that words depending on construction can exist within the duality of:
literal and/or metaphoric
The schooling of modern times is biased to a literal / rational view of the world, metaphor is a lot more fuzzy and gooey.
Master both and your house will stand united as one. π
...and put on the full armour of God π
Bible has multiple authors, 44 if I recall correctly. Each one usually stuck to one style - literal or metaphor/symbolism/imagery.
Is Q also more than one author?
Would explain a lot.
Definitely seems like it, the writing styles changed a lot over time when Q posted
1 Peter. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God".
God alone is the author. There are many writers all men of God who spoke according to the Words God gave them. Faithful men of God.
Only one source of truth. The styles are due to the individuals education and personal knowledge. Luke was a learned physician, Amos was a Herdsman. Read those alone and you can see God will work with the language and knowledge of the Faithful man who He gives His Word to.
In other words God knows how to communicate to each of His people. Thus the variance.
Metaphorical language is fictional. God uses figures of speech, many of them. There are books written on the subject. K.c. Pillai the author of light through an Eastern window gives great clarity on those figures which are used to add emphasis to what God says.
