Literally everyone around him was a DS swamp traitor, and he took too many recommendations from them as he attempted to navigate a completely new experience. The judges were McConnell picks - Trump assumed that McConnell was a Republican at the time, that he was working for a conservative agenda, and intended to keep Republicans in power; when in fact MM just wants it all to burn and sell it to China. All the veteran Rs sidled up and called themselves friends so they could be ready for the backstab; and it's not like Trump had a lot of choices in whom to befriend, real Republicans tend to only want to live life, not serve as politicians. There are very few patriots to be found in DC, and lots of RINO sleepers. Across the country, he has been shining spotlights on politicians, and ferreting out RINOs as they reveal themselves.
