CMS website on remdesivir
Yes they do. See the link in my post above.
As it reads, FOR MEDICARE PATIENTS Only, there is in fact a 20% ‘add-on’ for hospitals that administer it under the specific coding.
That is 100% correct. NOT THE ENTIRE HOSPITAL BILL.
It is only Medicare patients (which are the majority of patients hospitalized with COVID) but it is the entire hospital bill because that is the DRG. Hospitals bill a set fee based on dx, complexity and other factors. There’s a very complicated scale that goes into it. This document is saying that there will be an increase of 20% on the DRG which is the entire amount, if the dx is COVID19 and remdesivir is on the claim. Please tell me more about how medicare billing is your specialty.
Of course, I read the post.
You're kind of arrogant, and it does not seem to be warranted.
There are MANY people claiming they do.
Which is why I asked YOU if you have any info that claims otherwise.
You still haven't offered up any.
Of course, OP only offered up a meme. But you haven't even done that.
THERE IS NO PROOF OF SOMETHING THAT DOESNT EXIST.
NCTAP claims are those that are eligible for the 20% add-on payment under Section 3710 of the CARES Act. Eligible claims have both of the following:
ICD-10-CM diagnosis code U07.1 (COVID-19) ICD-10-PCS codes for remdesivir (Veklury), COVID-19 convalescent plasma, or baricitinib (Olumiant).
Game, Set, Match.
Damn... my popcorn wasn't ready in time....
