If you have to sign up to see the posts, which one doesn't have to do with Twitter, my take will be that he's missed the boat on how to build a truly user-friendly site, and that he's missed the boat in terms of the kind of free marketing that Twitter garners with its posts being circulated on other sites by people who don't subscribe.
In which case he won't get the highly-coveted Taffy seal of approval. 😸
