I have never been diagnosed… I avoid doctors like the plague… I have no trust in those people and always thought we were nothing but lab rats in their eyes. Thank you for sharing! I hold Autists in high regard, especially those that help humanity and live their lives with a smile! They are AMAZING and a blessing. Without them, I fear this situation would have become something far more deadly and evil than it is. I am grateful for all our warrior autists do. I am now researching Aspies and the nature of their special gifts. Beautiful… God is wonderful and loves great variety! Also, I haven’t read a good comic in years!
I haven't been diagnosed. I took the test that appeared in Wired Magazine about 20 years ago. I would never take this to the doctor, as they might find some reason to put me away.
I don't read comics now, but I do buy first issues occasionally as an investment. I have a lot of the old comics, and I have downloaded thousands of them from the Usenet newsgroups.
I like stating tribute to an 8th grade classmate (1959) who, by virtue of his Aspergers, was able to write the code for defibrillators from studying 35 EKGs of patients dying of heart attacks. His professor was dying and requested that the work be given to the world; he sent everything to MIT and thus, millions of lives have been saved. He passed away last year and I am certain he is in Heaven.
Exactly! Same here 😊
Are you an Aspie like me? Or are you just really into comics? :)
