I just came across this post from a friend (early 50’s & otherwise very healthy) on FB…

It’s taken a while for me to post this, but here I go… Thank you to my Dr.s, nurses, PT, family, friends and pets that have been so helpful and supportive! I’m feeling a little better now, but it’s been a scary ride for 8 months. In May, after my 2nd vaccine, I had an unusual reaction. Within 2 hours, I started feeling muscle weakness in my arms and legs with tingling numbness in my face and feet. 2 weeks later, those symptoms got worse and I developed severe back discomfort, paresthesia (nerve pain) and extreme exhaustion. Over the past several months, I’ve had a trip to the ER, a chest X-ray and 2 dye contrast MRIs under anesthesia of my brain and spine. In addition, blood work ups countless times. Thankfully, chronic neurological diseases and autoimmune disorders have been ruled out! Due to months of physical therapy and yoga, I have regained strength in my neck, back, arms and feet! Back in May, before this happened, I could walk 5 miles a day. Now, I can hardly walk a mile before feeling heavy, numb, weak and out of breath. It’s been a roller coaster with all the meds and the side effects, but we have finally found the right combination which has gotten me to a normal ish life! My Dr.s feel that I should recover within a year to 15 months so I’m half way there! I see my Drs every 2 weeks so they are watching me closely and tracking my antibodies. I have taken photos of each month to show my improvement. I truly appreciate all the prayers, cards, flowers, meals, texts and calls! And to my friends that traveled from far distances to visit me - thank you soooooo much. Lots of Love ❤️
